Questions
I have steering wheel
radio controls in my car, will they work with my iPod?
Yes, you will be able to change iPod tracks and adjust your car stereos
volume.
Do I need to remove or replace
my existing car stereo?
In many cars you can reach behind the car stereo from the passenger side
to plug the adapter in. Some vehicles require removal of the car stereo,
but this only takes five minutes and is fairly simple to do.
Where do I put my iPod once the adapter
is installed?
Some people tuck their iPods away in the glove box for a completely hidden
and secure installation. Others keep it handy in a center console bin
so they can access the iPod's menu or see the display. If you would like
to mount the iPod with a cradle, please select the cradle option.
I am not a professional car audio installer, and
I don't know how to remove my radio. What should I do?
You can visit http://www.carstereohelp.com/stereoremoval.htm
to see a database of instructions on removal of original factory radios.
Alternatively visit a local car audio store and have it professionally
installed
I have a CD player in my car,
will it stop working if I install the iPod adapter?
Your in-dash car CD player will continue to work with the iPod adapter
installed. However, You will not be able to use an external CD changer
(usually in the trunk). Just press the CD button To change modes between
your CD player and iPod.
Does this adapter work exactly like the Manufacturer
adapter?
Most users prefer our adapter. Using the Manufacturer adapter your iPod
display and controls will be disabled. This limits users to using five
custom Manufacturer playlists. Using our adapter you will have full use
of your iPod display and controls - as well as control using the car stereo.
Neither solution displays artist/track information on the car stereo.
Will my iPod screen display change
while connected, or will it display all the song info and iPod menus?
Your iPod screen will be the same as it always is during playback. This
means you will be able to see all the Song/Artist info. You can also browse
through your music just as if the iPod was not connected to your car.
